I am trying!

How many times have you said that concerning your selfcare? When you finally fall sick and you have to stay home from work? When you realize you have very little compassion for others and expect others to comply with your desires at any cost? The list is long for excuses for not giving ourselves selfcare.

We live in a day where our personal downtime is when we go to sleep at night. There is NO time for you. Your body screams to you, ‘What about me?’  Your answer…’ I am trying.’

‘I am trying’ sets you up for failure because it really doesn’t commit you.

It starts with honesty. Are you really giving yourself selfcare on a regular basis?

Honesty will bring you to a place of humility. Humility starts the ploughing of the old habits to prepare you for true change.

‘I am trying’ needs to be replaced with ‘I am training.’ Training commits you! But…it always requires sacrifice. It takes training to transform the brain into changing bad habits. Our Lymbic System in our brain is where habits become locked in. Training reprograms the Lymbic System.

Any honest training will include a plan. As you create your plan to reach your goals, you will find that your plan will take you into involvement with people. It takes a community of people to stop a bad habit.

We at Centering Massage believe in self-care. Your downtime with your LMT (Licensed Massage Therapist) at Centering Massage is an efficient way to connect your body to your brain (Lymbic System) and work out some of that cell memory that is stored in your body waiting to trip you up. There is something magical about human touch that reassures the body in its connection again to you.

Centering Massage is committed to making your body a good home for you. Schedule your appointment today and let’s work out a plan that brings you success in your selfcare.
